Some parts are in bold. They limit what we are responsible for, or they give you a duty or a risk. The Consumer Protection Act asks us to point those out to you.

Who you are buying from

Acres of Diamonds Productions is a different company from Easy Does It Social Media (Pty) Ltd. If you have bought something from Easy Lead Engine or Easy Does It Social, that was a different seller with its own terms.

What you are buying

Story Lab is ten short animated lessons for a child aged about 10 to 14, plus printable worksheets and a card deck. You buy it once and you keep it. It is not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.

Story Engine is ten lessons for a learner aged about 15 to 19, with its own worksheets. It is bought the same way and kept the same way.

A feedback tier adds one round of written notes from Ferdinand on the finished story. The story comes to us through you and the notes go back through you, in writing.

Story Engine is a pre-order

Story Engine is still being made. When you pay for it today, two of its ten lessons are ready to watch and the other eight are a promise. All ten will be ready by 30 November 2026. We email you each time one lands and you never pay again. If you change your mind while you are waiting, or if we move that date, you can have all of your money back — set out on the refunds page.

What it costs

We are not registered for VAT, so there is no VAT to add and none is included. We charge in South African rand. If your card is from another country your bank will convert it and may add its own fee, which is between you and your bank.

How you get in

After you pay, we email you a link. You open it, you sign the consent form as the parent or guardian, and the lessons unlock. Your child never gets an account and never signs in. If you lose the link, ask for it again on the site and we will send it to the same email address.

What you may do with it

One purchase covers one household. Every child living in your home may use it. Watch the lessons as often as you like.

What you may not do: share your link with another family, show the lessons to a class or a paying group, or copy, download, re-upload or re-sell any part of the course. If you want to use it with a school, a drama studio or a group, email us and we will quote you.

Your child's story belongs to your child. We will not show it to anyone without asking you first, in writing, about that specific piece of work.

Live sessions

We never hold a private one-to-one video call with a child, for any reason, at anyone's request. If a live session is ever arranged, a parent, guardian or teacher is present for all of it and is named on the booking.

Refunds

Set out in full on the refunds page. In short: five business days if you changed your mind, fourteen days if it was not what you expected, and all of it back if we cannot deliver.

What we are responsible for

We will keep the lessons available and working. If something breaks, tell us and we will fix it or refund you.

We do not promise that your child will finish a story, enjoy the course, improve at writing, or get any particular result from it. Except where the law says otherwise, what we owe you if something goes wrong is limited to what you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for anything the law does not allow us to limit — including death, injury, fraud, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

If we change these terms

We may change them for future sales. The terms you agreed to on the day you bought are the ones that apply to you. If we change something that affects you, we email you.

Which law applies

South African law. If we cannot sort a problem out between us, the courts of South Africa decide it. You can also take a complaint to the National Consumer Commission or to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.
